Hey everyone and welcome to The Burrow’s first blog :)

Now it’s the New Year I guess there’s no better time than now to properly introduce myself and let you get to know the person behind the home décor green bunny.

I’m Georgie, I turned 26 last month (oh god, it’s time to be an adulty-adult) and I currently live in North Wales, on the outskirts of Chester, in my first house with the fiancé (cringe) and our fur baby, Nev.

Here’s a picture of our ugly mugs last month for an amazing week celebrating my brother’s wedding in Morzine, France.

I grew up in the pretty countryside of Herefordshire and studied English & Contemporary Media at Cardiff Metropolitan University, where I met the lovely James who is from North Wales (he got his own way on us living up here, but now I wouldn’t have it any other way).

Due to my love of Marketing, I carried on at uni and bagged myself a master’s degree. I then worked the next couple of years for various companies marketing their products and services but soon realised it wasn’t what I wanted to do.

Our First Home

It was when we moved into our first home in 2017, where we currently live now, that I discovered my passion for interiors, home décor and design. The house needed a lot of work throughout which we’re still in the process of completing but I loved it so much I decided to jump on the band wagon of joining the home community on Instagram and began documenting our restoration progress. I loved it.

Whilst sifting through Instagram, I started seeing the amazing small interior businesses throughout the country and instantly, I knew that I wanted to do that too.

In 2018, I quit my full-time job with the hope of turning the dream into reality. It took a while to locate some beautiful items from across the globe, organising what I needed to do and most of all battling the little demons in my head saying that I couldn’t do it but last November I bit the bullet and The Burrow Interiors was launched.

I now own a little online interior business and we’re very excited for what 2019 has in store, fingers crossed it’s a going to be a good one for us and for you! Is there a dream you’d love to pursue?
